Aruba, located in the Netherlands Antilles, is known as the "One Happy Island" filled with colorful fish, white sandy beaches and crystal clear water.
Aruba was never on my bucket list. I just so happened to find the flight for $217 round trip. I figured it was a steal sooo I said why not and BOOKED it.
We stayed at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. The hotel was amazing and the staff were very friendly. When we arrived our room was not ready; therefore the agent upgraded our room so we did not have to continue to wait!! The hotel staff was very accommodating.
Because we stayed at this particular hotel we visited Flamingo Beach which for hotel guest its free and $90 for visitors. There's a boat from the hotel that takes you to the private island. The beach was beautiful and so were the flamingos. We fed the flamingos and sipped on mojito's.
I would say I wasn't fan of the food!! No it wasn't nasty but it was americanized; therefore it was like eating back in the states. When I go away I love to experience other cultural foods. Other than that, we had a good time. Our stay was 5 days 4 nights; within that time span we toured around, spoke with locals, ATV riding, hiked, natural pool diving, snorkeled, water sports and so much more!! Whether your with the girls, family or that special person Aruba has something for everyone.
